Taking Action on Mental Health
Why We Do This
To help teens make right choices, improve mental health, and become empathetic to each other’s needs, creating self-awareness, resilient, and respectful individuals, better preparing them for life’s challenges.
bplucky, an initiative of M3 Rock n' Talk,
is a revolutionary community, in development, designed from inception with teens to focus on the betterment of mental health through five engaging platforms, including a one-stop mental health and wellness resource center.
To harness and understand what teens want and are going through, M3 Rock n’ Talk facilitated 15 student focus groups with over 1,000 teens, over a 25-month period. Teens questioned their self-worth, felt alone in their struggles and didn’t know where to turn to seek help, which resulted in much uncertainty and hopelessness in their lives. They spoke of their desire to find a supportive community and valuable tools, acceptance, and assurance – a place of safety and guidance where they can share and learn from each other and professionals.
Teens are seeking change from their struggles
bplucky is that change!
“1 in 4 teens have been diagnosed with a mental health condition”
“About 1 in 6 report experiencing negative emotions all the time or often”

bplucky is a teen-inspired, teen-led app to meet youth intellectually, socially, and emotionally, protecting their safety while helping them make right choices and learning the values of empathy and empowerment. The bplucky app parallels M3 Rock n’ Talk’s mission in significantly reducing the teen mental health stigma and becoming an uplifting go-to resource for living a productive and fulfilling life with confidence and character.
Mental health professionals contributed to bplucky’s design to help bridge the gap between teens and the mental health community. The app will identify relevant aggregate statistics, trends, and analytics that mental health professionals utilize to serve teens without disclosing personal User information. bplucky has also collaborated with countless school leaders, nonprofits, and community-based organizations to strengthen relations and knowledge of ongoing teen issues within home, school, and community.
The bplucky initiative provides resources and guidance to implement change through student innovation and action, such as teen-led forums with peers and professionals, and incentivized “pay-it-forward” programs that bring immense value to youth, helping to shape constructive communication and positive behavior.
